The Badseed Clothing Story

We founded the Badseed Clothing Company nearly 9 year ago with nothing but a box of freshly printed “b” logo t-shirts and a passion for music, sports, and streetwear. Hailing from the same hometown in a northern suburb of Detroit, we (the founders of Badseed) set out to bring the “Badseed” name and brand to like-minded people from around the globe with similar interests spanning different musical genres and fashions.

From our very humble beginnings to today, we have employed the same simple approach of seeking out and supporting our favorites – those musicians, artists, athletes, and everyday people that have a passion for what they do and that represent the “Badseed” name and lifestyle. In doing so, we have been fortunate enough to build up a wide network of friends and Badseed supporters that cut across different cultures, concepts, and continents.

Growing the Badseed Clothing Company from a start-up operation selling t-shirts out of the trunks of our cars to a global brand & retailer has been a journey. We have gotten to see the world vicariously through the eyes of our supported bands and artists – spending many of nights sleeping on tour buses and taking in concerts from the soundboard backstage. We’ve been fortunate enough to see some of our favorites bands represent the Badseed name on stage such as the Deftones and Taproot. We’ve gotten to the chance to see hip-hop pioneers such as Proof hone their craft in basement studios (the video below does a pretty good job summing this all up).

Throughout all of the fun experienced during the “formative” years of Badseed, we have had the opportunity to learn the in’s and out’s of the clothing business and grow our company along the way. Despite this growth, one thing that remains the same as when we started this company in 2000 is our passion to bring the Badseed brand and our own unique streetwear designs to people from across the globe.
